E18 between Grimstad and Kristiansand is a part of the trunk road from Oslo to Kristiansand. This part of the E18 forms an important part of the transport corridor between Southern Norway and the Continent as well as an important connection for heavy and light traffic between the cities in this part of the country.
The annual average daily traffic (AADT) is about 10 000 vehicles/day, and the traffic in July is about 60 % higher than the AADT.
